A monochrome drawing is made with each of the Castell 9000 series pencils, fifteen in total, covering a full greyscale with every possible lead hardness from 6h to 8b. Beyond the tonal sequence and the effects of the different lead-types on the trace, the human and time-bound component of routine is made evident through a range of non-intentional irregularities.

Se dibuja un monocromo con cada lápiz de la serie Castell 9000, quince en total, cubriendo así la gama completa de grises y de grados de dureza de mina posibles entre 6h y 8b. Mas allá de la secuencia tonal y los efectos de cada tipo de mina sobre el trazo, el componente humano y la momentaneidad de la rutina se hacen patentes en diversas irregularidades no intencionadas.

Mit jedem Bleistift der Castell 9000 Serie wird jeweils ein Monochrom gezeichnet, fünfzehn insgesamt, in allen möglichen Graustufen und Bleistift-Härtegraden zwischen 6h und 8b. Zusätzlich zur tonalen Sequenz und der minenspezifischen Schraffur, kommt die humane Komponente und Momenthaftigkeit der Arbeit in diversen unbeabsichtigten Unregelmässigkeiten zur Geltung.
